NOTICE OF NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS

The SAOA Board hereby calls for the nomination of 1 (one) Director due to a vacancy created on the Board as per circumstances described below:

Marna Pieterse has served on the Board as Director for the Private Practice, Membership/Marketing and Special Projects portfolios as well as Vice President. In her capacity as Special Projects Director, Marna assumed the role of Chairperson of the Coding Committee, responsible for the facilitation of the review of the SAOA procedural codes, protocols, and Relative Value Units (RVU’s). Marna’s tenure as Director has come to an end but is available for re-election.

Should more than 1 (one) nomination be received, the nomination process is to be followed by an election by way of electronic voting, details of which will accompany the voting forms.

The results of the electoral process shall be announced by the Electoral Officer at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place on 20 February 2021 at 14h00 as a virtual meeting via the Zoom platform.

Nominations shall be in writing and shall state:

• the full names of the nominee;
• full names of the nominator;
• a declaration signed by the nominee that he/she has accepted the nomination and knows of no circumstance which may preclude such acceptance.
